Passive PoE Tutorial - Power over Ethernet How To

Video Installation Procedure

Video tutorial in written version:

Hello, my name is Daniela Tvarozkova and I am from the RF Elements company. In this demonstration I'd like to present the product Passive PoE - Power over Ethernet cable.

The Passive PoE package is made up of two parts - the lower and the upper part. The power adapter which is part of the access point packaging, is connected to a power socket. We plug the power connector of the source into the power connector of the lower part of the Passive PoE. We connect the second connector to the existing LAN network on directly to the computer. On the opposite side of the lower part of the Passive PoE we connect the ethernet cable which goes to the far upper part.

On the far part of Passive PoE we connect the ethernet cable going towards the lower part of the Passive PoE. We connect the remaining connectors directly to the access point - the power connector and LAN connector. The access point is now connected and ready to use ;).

PoE schema

1.It is very simple to connect a passive PoE. On the lower part, we connect the Ethernet RJ connector of passive PoE to the PC, Hub or Switch and connect the power adapter to the power socket.
2.On the opposite end (RJ socket) we connect the Ethernet cable leading to the far end.
3.At the far end, we connect the end of the Ethernet cable to the RJ socket and connect the power connectors and the Ethernet to the powered equipment. The equipment is now connected by them.
